About
Megan Gower graduated from Texas Tech School of Law in 2024. She knew she wanted to be a lawyer since she was nine years old and won her first mock trial case when her client, Goldilocks, was acquitted of breaking and entering. Before law school, Megan studied history and political science at Texas Tech. While in college, she spent two summers interning with the Regional Public Defender for Capital Cases where she worked with clients facing the death penalty and solidified her passion for criminal defense.
In law school, Megan won a national championship and was named best advocate at the 2023 National Pretrial Competition—the only competition in the country that tests brief writing, trial advocacy, and appellate advocacy. She was also named the second-best advocate in the country at the 2024 National Appellate Advocacy Competition. In her last year of law school, Megan was one of a handful of students chosen to participate in the Criminal Defense Clinic, allowing her to gain valuable experience zealously representing people accused of crimes. Before graduating, Megan was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, an organization reserved for those who demonstrate exceptional skills in advocacy.
Since graduating from Texas Tech Law, Megan has made a name for herself in West Texas, representing individuals faced with criminal accusations. Her passion, drive, and knowledge of the law make her a zealous advocate for the accused.
